Tree Beekeeping — Binding the Times

In a shortened version of the book-album “Tree Beekeeping — Binding the Times” in the series “Belarusian Cultural Heritage”, readers have a unique opportunity to become acquainted with the old beekeeping practices of the Belarusians. Tree beekeeping replaced the collection of wild bee honey in tree hollows and was widespread in all forest regions of Belarus. Now it continues in some areas, mainly in Ubartskaye Palessie (Lielchytsy district of Homiel region). Here, this centuries-old traditional practice is developing and being passed on from generation to generation.
